We shared this in our last newsletter but wanted to remind you of the second No Kings protest taking place this Saturday, October 18th from 12:00-2:00pm throughout the country including in Seattle at the International Foundation, Seattle Center. No Kings is organized by Indivisible and over 140 partners. Visit the No Kings website to find your nearest protest.
Join Pramila Jayapal's Immigration Justice Lab Training
Common Power is hosting a viewing party of Pramila Jayapal's Immigrant Justice Resistance Lab Training on Sunday, October 19th from 10:30-1:30pm at Common Power in downtown Seattle. Pramila Jayapal will discuss the history of our immigration system, the administration's authoritarian moves against immigrants, and actions we can take to protect our immigrant communities. Volunteer or Donate to Advocates for Immigrants in Detention NW
Advocates for Immigrants in Detention Northwest (AIDNW) is a nonprofit whose mission is to support people immediately after their release from the NW ICE Processing Center in Tacoma. Often confused and scared upon release, AIDNW provides clothing and resources including access to transportation, phones and power banks (including wifi), tents, portable toilets, food, clothing, and more.
