Celebrate Diversity Month

Celebrate Diversity Month began in 2024 to recognize the diversity and growing multiculturalism in our communities. ProGroup Inc. and Diversity Best Practices , two U.S. consulting companies, led the effort to create awareness on this month. Studies have shown that diverse workplaces and communities enhance creativity and innovation, encourage learning and growth, and improve adaptability and resilience, among many other benefits. Here are some resources for celebrating diversity in your workplace and beyond:



Arab American Heritage Month

Arab American Heritage Month was established nationwide in 2021, with April chosen as the month for the symbolism of spring, hope, and new beginnings. According to Arab America, the month is to "celebrate our community's rich heritage and numerous contributions to society...it is more imperative than ever to use education and information sharing to embrace our culture, dispel stereotypes, and empower the next generation of Arab American trailblazers." The following are some resources to help celebrate the month:



Autism Acceptance Month

Autism Acceptance Month was established in 1988 to raise awareness of autism acceptance and promote inclusion for people with autism. World Autism Day is also on April 2nd, sanctioned by the United Nations General Assembly "as a means to affirm and promote the full realization of all human rights and fundamental freedoms for autistic people on an equal basis with others."
